Many exterior construction and installation modifications on WOII homes require a permit from the city of Jeffersonville as well as advance approval by the ACC. The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is a Board-led team responsible for managing requests for exterior modifications to all WOII homes.
Carefully review this ACC webpage for more information about the review process as well as the types of projects that require advance approval. In addition, carefully review Article 2 of the Covenants and Restrictions for more information on our architectural guidelines, and email any questions to the ACC Director at wo2pool@gmail.com.
Common new projects that require advance approval by the Architectural Control Committee include (but are not limited to):
Note: Approval of a homeowner's ACC request is not guaranteed. Starting or completing a project that is out of compliance with the guidelines and without prior approval will likely lead to costly removal of the project at the homeowner's expense.
By e-signing and submitting the ACC Request Form below, you agree that have read and understand the ACC process and guidelines for your proposed project.
To prevent any stop work orders or costly repairs to return your home to the prior state, please ensure approval is received before hiring a contractor or beginning any construction or installation work. Decision responses are typically given by e-mail within 4-7 business days unless additional information or clarity of the project is needed from the homeowner.
Thinking of adding an addition, building a fence or a deck? It's a good idea to start with the City of Jeffersonville Building Commission.
They have the information you'll need for all permits, such as who may need a permit and how to get started on getting one.
In short, permits are required to
(1) construct, enlarge or remodel a building or home;
(2) to install, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, heating and air or plumbing system; and
(3) to demolish commercial or residential properties and/or accessory structures.
